Two new departments of the Hexagon are placed in orange vigilance for heat wave, specifies the site of Météo France Monday August 8. In the South-West, Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne therefore join Gard and Vaucluse, in the South-East, already placed in orange vigilance on Saturday and Sunday. The southern half of the country is mostly still on yellow alert. “Tuesday promises to be still a scorching day with 36 to 38°C in the Vaucluse and especially in the Gard”, specifies Météo France in its bulletin.
