Contractors unintentionally grounded hundreds of flights final week once they deleted recordsdata whereas engaged on the Discover to Air Missions (NOTAM) system, the Federal Aviation Administration says.
The company stated in a press release Thursday {that a} preliminary evaluation discovered the shutdown occurred because the contractors labored to “right synchronization between the stay main database and a backup database.” Investigators thus far discovered no proof of malicious intent or a cyberattack.
