Seed manufacturing

The ICRISAT, in affiliation with the Directorate of Groundnut Analysis, has taken up manufacturing of the nation’s first excessive oleic acid groundnut varieties ‘Girnar 4’ in 4 acres of land at RARS-Palem early this 12 months.

“There are plans to interact with seed companies, farmer seed entrepreneurs and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) to make sure entry to high quality Girnar 4 and 5 seeds,” an ICRISAT govt mentioned.
