The federal government has elevated the payment payable to empanelled facilitators who assist start-ups apply for patents, emblems or designs.
The facilitator shall not cost something from the start-up or the entrepreneur, and this payment shall be paid on to the facilitator by the Centre by the workplace of the Controller Basic of Patents, Designs and Commerce Marks (CGPDTM) and disbursed by the respective IP workplace, an official defined.
Help is obtainable to start-ups to file for mental property underneath the Startups Mental Property Safety (SIPP), run by the Division for Promotion of Funding and Inner Commerce (DPIIT) envisaged to facilitate safety of patents, trademark and designs of modern and start-ups.

To incentivise facilitators to help start-ups in submitting for IPs, payment has been elevated from ₹10,000 to ₹40,000 for patents with out opposition and ₹50,000 for patents with opposition. For submitting for emblems and designs, the payment to be paid is ₹8,000 with out opposition and ₹13,000 with opposition.
