The 8 th World Symposium on Gender in Aquaculture and Fisheries (GAF8) might be held from November 21-23 at IMA Home in Kochi.
The convention is organized by the Gender in Aquaculture and Fisheries Part of the Asian Fisheries Society, ICAR- Central Institute of Fisheries Expertise, Kochi, and the Society of Fisheries Technologists (India) (SOFTI).
Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan will inaugurate the convention on November 20.
The eighth within the world sequence, GAF8 is themed on ‘Shaping the Future: Gender Justice for Sustainable Aquaculture & Fisheries and is highlighted by means of varied sub-themes associated to the gender points within the fisheries sector.
The goal of the convention is to deliver ahead gender points within the aquaculture and fisheries sector and talk about potential options by means of a gendered lens. The convention will present a platform for gaining new insights and establishing networks of stakeholders related to fisheries and associated actions from varied elements of the world.
The three-day convention will deliver collectively over 300 scientists, academicians, gender consultants, policymakers, and college students from India and overseas. Delegates from 20 nations will current papers in GAF8.
