Russia and Ukraine have accused one another of bombing the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Energy Plant in southern Ukraine, which is occupied by the Russian military.

“The Kyiv regime will not be ceasing provocations to create the specter of a disaster on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear energy plant,” the Russian defence ministry mentioned in an announcement.

On Saturday and Sunday, Ukrainian forces fired greater than 20 “large-calibre shells” on the plant. Nevertheless, Moscow added, “the extent of radiation within the space of the plant stays inside the norm”.
