Orthodox Christians in Russia have plunged into icy waters to have a good time the Epiphany vacation.

Epiphany is marked on 19 January in Russia, in remembrance of the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist, which in keeping with the Orthodox calendar occurred on at the present time.

It is one of many oldest holidays on the Christian calendar and a serious celebration within the predominantly Orthodox nation.
